The two FOAOTMAD (Friends Of American Old Time Music And Dance) camps held near Peterborough each year are primarily meant for their Members, in that there is no formal entertainment or "shows", just multiple laid back american old-timey music sessions going on, mainly around the tents in the day and a big one round the campfire at night. To get an idea, go look at the FOAOTMAD website here and click on "Camps". Those attending are nearly all FOAOTMAD members or banjo or other other old-timey music appreciators who haven't got round to joining yet. Most folks there are camping. If you're going along and want a seat, take your own.
The whole Sacrewell Farm & Country Centre is open to the public 9am to 5.30pm, click here to see their website & the various attractions. You have to pay their normal prices to get in and only those with the barrier code (those camping, and FOAOTMAD members) will be able to get in after 6pm.
The SPRING festival ran Friday 28th May to Monday 31st May 2010
